Botany

 A slender erect annual plant with blue flowers, commonly cultivated for its fiber and seed; also its fiber prepared for spinning 

 flaxen - Made of or resembling flax, of a light straw color

 flaxseed( pronounced flaks'sēd flăk'sēd)

 The seed of flax, widely used in medicine and yielding an oil, called linseed oil
